Cam Gore: Great effort means great result for Sharks - CamGore
Nice to see Pavelski score and Winnik get the ball rolling. Great game i prefer when we go for shots as opposed to cycling the puck in the corners.
Phoenix will be an easy win without Doan i think (you would hope) and i can't see the avs being that difficult compared to our recent legs coming back. |

I really felt sorry for Niemi on that Bruin goal. He was flopping around all over trying to keep it out. I think he really deserved a shutout, but the boys couldn't bail him out in their own zone. |

What the hell are you watching Cam?
He got beat on three occasions by perfectly stoppable shots only luck made those shots miss or hit the crossbar.
Do bloggers actually understand this game at all? |

The guy had a save percentage of .941. Quit being such a tight a$$ and give the guy some credit. He gets a win, stopped many difficult shots (and yes, i watched the game) and the goal that did go in, was a lucky bounce from behind the goal line.
When you let in 1 goal on 17 shots, you can't argue that he didn't offer a successful night in goal |

With all the talent the Sharks have it's amazing they are where they are in the standings. Still wouldn't want to see them in the playoffs! |

I'm with you on this one. Nemo was a fish out of water made the first stop and that put him down and he starts to make snow angels when the puck isn't at his door step, this is where he should be recovering not flapping his wings like a paniced chicken. Nabby was by no means the ultimate goalie or near perfect but I really do miss having him as he was quick to recover after making a save. |

Good point...but still, that was almost a month ago. It shouldn't be a month in between good games for the Sharks. |

I hate to be a debbie downer, negative nacny, or whatever but the fact we played what most would say was our best game of the season and barely won doesnt seem like a good sign. I mean the Sharks pretty much dominated the game last nigt start to finish and it was 2-1. We have to start scoring more. We cant expect to give up less than 20 shots a game every night and we certainly cant rely on Niemi to only allow 1 goal on a consistent basis.
That being said, I hope they do prove me wrong. I hope they play like that every game until mid June. Just little a little more scoring and a little more clutch saves by Niemi.
BTW just a random thought but when was the last time the sharks won by more than 2 goals? |

I was thinking about it too today. Last time the Sharks won by more than 1 goal was a two goal victory in Washington on February 13 - almost a month and a half ago. Also, the Sharks failed t score more than 3 goals in a game for 19 straight games now.
To be honest with you. the end of this season reminds me somewhat of the end of that 08/09 Presidents Trophy season. We had very similar tendencies then. The difference, of course, is that the Sharks had had a huge cushion by then to completely blow it. |

give him some credit? The guy's technical impotence and physical shortcomings have been costing this team games and point for the last two monhts. Give him credit for making only 15 saves and allowing an atrocious goal that no NHL goalie should allow? He has been flopping in the crease all season long, he's got the worst posture in NHL, he has real problems reading plays cheats short side on every play, his athleticism leaves a lot to be desired , he has probably the biggest 3, 4, 6 and 7 holes in the league and so on. His only saving grace are his in-close game down-low. Give him a break you say?
You might have watched the game but clearly you don't know what you're watching. |

Since we can't really do anything to get a different goalie until the season's over, why waste time complaining about it? I'm not a Niemi fan either, but right now I don't care if he flops around the crease, has bad posture, cheats short side, or anything else, as long as he gets the win. |

I think the moral of the story is that he doesn't do that enough. And just as an amusing fact: the Sharks do have another goalie signed .. just saying. |

He did what? Give up a free point to the Yotes so they can keep their place ahead of the Shark?
Niemi was horrible tonight. At least two godawful goals and almost broke his ankle skating back to the net. |

The point to the Coyotes isn't ideal, but at least the Sharks won. I think me and you are at an impasse... I'm looking at positives, you're looking at negatives. |
